Since we are an Avid school kids are responsible for their organizational supplies and getting a signature from a parent or responsible adult every night. Although supplies are provided at school, it's always good to have extra at home of:
Pencils
Colored pencils/crayons
Pencil pouch
Highlighter
Ruler
Dictionary
In my class I use Gallary Learning (360 classroom). This is where each student has their own whiteboard around the room (2ft x 4ft). We engage in classroom work, collaborative learning and many other learning activities together as a class. It allows for immediate feedback and response. This is a researched based learning and teaching method used in many high performing countries around the world. Students will need whiteboard markers (no light colors or black) + Expo whiteboard marker cleaner either a small personal one for themselves or a bigger bottle for teacher to use on their boards.
