Faculty Focus Friday is 5th-grade teacher Katie Johnson from Little Lake Elementary School.
Katie Johnson epitomizes all that is good about teachers at Little Lake and in Hemet Unified. She sparks enthusiasm and engagement in students, often helping students who feel disengaged with school be excited to be in her class. She delivers excellent instruction and is dedicated to student achievement. She is also a leader at the school in several capacities. She is the Chair of the School Site Council and a Board Member of the PTA. As a testimony to her skills and value, she was chosen by 101.3 The Mix and Azuza Pacific University as the February recipient of their “Teachers are Heroes” award. To earn this honor she was nominated by a parent and chosen from all of the nominees by the Azuza Pacific Board.
