What does it mean to be a closed campus?
Visitors have to sign into the office with their ID (Driver’s License) before they are allowed on campus (this includes before and after school).
How does this change the procedure that was in place last school year?
Only students will be allowed on campus before school. At dismissal, teachers will walk their students to the gate (see map below for dismissal locations of each grade level) and will dismiss from there. Guardians can meet students outside of gate. Visitors will not be allowed on campus at any point unless they have signed into the office.
Why are we doing this?
To keep your child safe and improve traffic patterns. Last year, a vast majority of parents and staff requested this on surveys.
