Principal's Message
Hello Little Lake Families,
Hello Little Lake Families,
I want to extend a warm welcome to the 2024-25 school year. We look forward to continuing to serve out amazing students and families. Our staff remains dedicated to nurturing our students' hearts and minds through building strong, caring relationships and delivering high quality, engaging lessons. Our specific goals this year will be focused on Literacy, Attendance, and Positive Behavior.
For those who are new to our Little Lake Community, I would like to share a little about myself. I grew up in Riverside County, attending school in Moreno Valley and Temecula. In 2006, I received a teaching credential and Master’s in Education from the University of California, Riverside. I started teaching at Hamilton K-8 in 2006 and while there I taught kindergarten and 2nd grade. I, also, served in a variety of other roles, including PTA president and I worked with a team of parents to start the first annual Fall Festival. This is one of the things that I am most proud of in my career, as building a sense of community within the school has always been something that I have been passionate about. In 2012, I received my Master’s in Educational Administration from Concordia and I started work as the Assistant Principal at Hamilton K-8. In 2017, I transferred to Little Lake as the Assistant Principal and I was promoted to Principal in 2020. I love Little Lake and the wonderful close-knit community that we have here. With over 100 years here in the community, Little Lake has been a school that many members of our community have attended or have ties to in some way. While at Little Lake, I have been focused on working with our PBIS teams, SST team, and AVID team to foster a positive school environment, provide timely interventions and supports to students, and ensure high quality teaching and learning.
My husband and I have two children, ages 10 years old and 5 years old. We enjoy watching movies, swimming, playing tennis, attending baseball games, and playing board games as a family.
Some things that I am deeply passionate about include:
- Creating a school culture where every student feels connected and valued.
- Working closely with families as a team to provide the very best supports for students.
- Ensuring our Special Education students are in the Least Restrictive Environment and receive high quality support and instruction
- Building on the strengths of all students to reach their full potential..
I look forward to continuing to get to know each and every one of you better, as we work together to Embrace, Educate, and Empower our students. Please know that my door is always open to you. I wholeheartedly welcome your conversation and positive input throughout this year. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share.
I look forward to celebrating our collective successes during the 2024-25 school year.
Sincerely,
Tiffany Grant, Little Lake Principal
