About Us

Little Lake is one of 16 elementary schools in the Hemet Unified School District.  At over 100 years old, our school is one of the oldest schools in the Hemet community.  It is a school full of great traditions and history, with teachers and staff who are dedicated to providing high-quality instruction.

Little Lake serves over 900 students in grades kindergarten through fifth with approximately 100 severely handicapped students in grades preschool through fifth.

Little Lake Elementary has accomplished significant gains over the last few years.  The API is currently 828, surpassing the state’s targeted goal of 800.
 
Little Lake students participate in computer-based programs such as, Accelerated Reader, ST Math (Jiji), Compass Learning, Lexia, and Imagine Learning.  These programs reinforce reading comprehension, vocabulary development, grammar skills, math concepts, and higher-level thinking skills.
